Patient dies as ambulance gets stuck in traffic

DHADING: A 55-year-old woman died at Tayal Ghar along the Tribhuvan Highway today as the ambulance that was ferrying her to Kathmandu from Bharatpur, Chitwan was trapped in traffic caused by road renovation efforts. According to police, the ambulance carrying Rajani Chaudhary, who was referred to Kathmandu for treatment, was stuck in jams overnight along the Naubise-Nagdhunga road section and for four more hours at Tayal Ghar leading to her death at around 10:00 am. At present, the vehicles plying on the major route to the capital take more than 10 hours to cover a nine-kilometre-stretch along the road section due to ongoing road renovation works.
