Pokhara, October 4 Kaski Police has brought a special security plan for this festive season. At a press meet organised in Pokhara today, SP Om Rana of Kaski District Police Office said the security plan was made targeting festivals. SP Rana informed that 586 security personnel would be deployed round-the-clock. He informed that Armed Police Force had also deployed 150 security personnel and added that a team from National Investigation Department would also be deployed in the main chowks. Police have been facing challenges providing peace and security to people with cases of murder, violence and theft, among other activities increasing of late. SP Rana said temporary police posts would be established in 20 places — 14 police patrol teams in rural areas, six mobile teams in urban areas, patrol team would also be  deployed in banks, cooperatives, trade centres and temples — in a bid to tighten security. He added that five teams along with a vehicle had been place on standby so that they could reach the incident site and respond to any untoward activities quickly. He informed that plainclothes security personnel would also be deployed in the main chowks.
