LALITPUR: Hosts St Xavier’s Godavari School and Little Angels’ School advanced to the final of the 23rd Father Moran Memorial Invitational Football Tournament here on Thursday. In the first semi-final match, SXG defeated Modern Indian School 1-0. Subhay Maharjan scored the solitary goal of the match. SXG goalkeeper Subham Silwal was named the player-of-the-match. In another semi-final match, LAS beat Moran Memorial School 2-1. Ashutosh Lawat and Prasoon Tuladhar scored one goal each for LAS, while Yuvaraj Rajbanshi replied for Jhapa-based Moran Memorial. Yuvaraj Rajbanshi of Moran Memorial was named the player-of-the-match. The final is slated for Saturday.
