Kathmandu, December 23 As many as 12 students, who were seriously injured in an accident in Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-3, Dang, have been airlifted to National Trauma Centre, Kathmandu, for treatment. Bhadra Bista, Govinda Oli, Rajan Dangi, Prakash Oli, Rojina Pun, Kushendra Khatri, Jivan Bhandari, Samikshya Rokaya, Bikaram Bhandari, Prem Bahadur Khadka and Menuka Rijal are undergoing treatment at the trauma centre while Yubraj Dhungana is receiving treatment at intensive care unit of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. Due to lack of CT scan machine at trauma centre, victims were taken to TUTH for CT scan. Dr Prem Krishna Khadga, director at TUTH, said that CT scan machine of trauma centre was dysfunctional. Meanwhile, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel met the injured students at the trauma centre. The accident occurred when a bus carrying students on their return from Salyan after observing a botanical garden, fell some 700 metres off the road at Ramri in Tulsipur. The bus was carrying the students of Martyr Krishna Sen Icchuk Polytechnic Institute in Dang. Twenty three persons had lost their lives in the deadly accident and 14 persons sustained injuries. Of the 14 injured people, two are receiving treatment in Kohalpur.
