KATHMANDU: A police team from the Valley Crime Investigation Branch, Hanumandhoka, on Sunday arrested Ganga Bahadur Sunuwar of Dolakha on charges of dealing in fake foreign currency at Bagbazaar, police said. The police also seized some fake foreign currency from him. — HNS

Property stolen

KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 118,000 was stolen from the house of Bhuwandas Manandhar at Kalamiti on Sunday, police said. Some unidentified persons made away with cash and valuables while everyone in the house was asleep. Similarly, unidentified persons stole Rs 24,000 in cash and other valuables from a shop of Balkrishna KC at Dahachowk-3, Kathmandu, on Sunday . — HNS

50-kg hashish haul

KATHMANDU: A police team from the Narcotics Drug Law Enforcement Unit (NDCLEU), New Baneshwor, arrested a person with 50 kg of hashish from Sundhara on Sunday. According to the NDCLEU, Narendra Ghale, 55, of Chame, Manang, was arrested with the drug from a footpath at Sundhara. Investigation is on, police said. — HNS
