Four complaints against Ansari, proposed chair of Muslim Commission

KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee received complaints against the proposed chairperson of the National Muslim Commission, Samim Ansari. However, no complaint has been lodged against proposed chiefs of other four constitutional bodies recommended by the Constitutional Council, said Laxman Lal Karna, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee. The information about the complaints against Ansari was made public at today's meeting of the Committee. Four separate complaints were filed against Ansari, said Karna, adding that additional information on it would come out only after the committee members study it. Meanwhile, the committee decided to begin a parliamentary hearing against Balananda Poudel and Shanta Raj Subedi, the proposed chiefs of the National Natural Resource and Fiscal Commission and the National Inclusive Commission respectively on February 19.
