PM Oli reiterates tough action against corrupt

Dadeldhura, February 19 Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today reiterated that his government was committed to controlling corruption in the country. Inaugurating the 132 KV transmission line sub-station of Chameliya Hydro Project located in Syaule of Dadeldhura, Oli pledged he would refrain from corruption and stop others from getting involved in corruption as well. Oli informed that the government had launched action against Commissioner Rajnarayan Pathak of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority who was charged with corruption. Noting that the country had achieved development and good governance, Oli held that a new era had started in the country. Oli expressed happiness at being able to inaugurate the power generation of Chameliya hydro project saying that the contract for the project was assigned during his earlier stint as prime minister. He claimed that development of the far-west would take place through power generation. Oli said that his government would start work on the West Seti Hydro Project. “The incumbent government will accord top priority to potential hydro projects in the far-west and commence development works,” he stated. He vowed to immediately expedite development projects through the province government in the far-west. He urged all and sundry to support the government’s campaign to make Nepal a developed and educated country. “I request you not to be swayed by rumours spread by anti-development elements,” Oli said. At the programme, Nepal Electricity Authority Executive Director Kulman Ghising said that the construction cost of the sub-station stood at Rs 450 million.
