Bajura road sections handed over to municipality

Bajura, February 21 A recently constructed road section under the rural access programme was handed over to Tribeni Municipality in Bajura. Rural Access Programme Project handed over the 29.68 kilometres Maure-Kailashmandu and Maure-Toli-Chhatara road sections to the municipality Mayor Ram Singh Rawal at a programme organised here today. The road construction was started in January 2014 with a grant from the government, the UK and the management of UK Consultant IMC Worldwide.   The road was completed with Rs 653 million. With the construction completed, road access has reached in all wards of the municipality. Team leader of the RAP Ramesh Neupane said the road was completed without using dozers and locals had donated their labour for the same. He added that locals received Rs 507 million as wages for their labour in the construction of the road.  He said 44 pc females participated in the construction of the road and they received equal wage as males.
