POKHARA: The mortal remains of late Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari -- who lost his life in Taplejung chopper crash on Wednesday --  has been brought to his home district in Kaski. His body is presently kept at Pokhara Exhibition Centre for final tributes. Later today, final rites of the late minister will be carried out in Ramghat after the tribute programme. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokharel and Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Prithvi Subba Gurung laid the national flag over the mortal remains of Minister Adhikari. Likewise, former deputy prime minister and leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Bam Dev Gautam, Spokesperson of NCP (NCP) Narayan Kaji Shrestha among others paid tribute to Minister Adhikari by draping him with the party flag. Late Minister Adhikari's father Indra Prasad Adhikari, mother Laxmi Adhikari and wife Bidhya Adhikari offered their heartfelt tributes. Ministers of the federal government, province government, leaders of NCP (NCP), leaders of the main opposition Nepali Congress, cadres of various political parties, and well wishers have gathered to offer their tributes to the late minister. A huge crowd has gathered at the centre where the tribute programme is taking place. It has been learnt that Minister Adhikari's body will be kept at Pokhara Exhibition Centre till 4:00 pm and then will be taken to Ramghat in a procession to carry out his final rites. The procession will pass through Naya Bazaar, Mahendra Pul, Ranipauwa and Hospital Chok before reaching Ramghat, where the final rites will be carried out with state honours, informed Spokesperson of Gandaki Province government and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Ram Sharan Basnet. Nepal Army will provide the state honours to Minister Adhikari. Earlier, it had been planned that Minister Adhikari's body would be brought to Pokhara on Thursday evening, but due to the delay in post mortem procedures, the mortal remains was brought only today. - Bharat Koirala/Rishi Ram Baral (UPDATED) KATHMANDU: The mortal remains of late Minister Rabindra Adhikari, who lost his life in Taplejung chopper crash, has been taken to his home district in Kaski.
