Bhandari elected RJPN presidium coordinator

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) presidium has elected Sharat Singh Bhandari as its coordinator. The election was carried out as per the party's provision of changing its coordinator every two months.

Meetings of the RJPN presidium held on March 13, 14 and 15 decided to elect Bhandari to the post from March 20 and the leadership has been handed over to him accordingly, RJPN general secretary Keshab Jha was quoted as saying in Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

RJPN was formed on April 20, 2017 with the unification of various Madhes-centric political parties. RJPN's presidium has six members who take turns in assuming the post of the party coordinator.

RJPN is convening its general convention on April 20, 21 and 22, which will elect the new party leadership.
