Government floats 3,479 MW hydroelectric scheme, IPO open

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli applied for 10,000 shares of the Trishuli III 'B' hydropower project marking the official launch of government's 'people's hydroelectricity programme' on Thursday. PM Oli applied for the shares at a programme organised by the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation at his residence in Baluwatar, this morning. With this, the general people can now apply to acquire shares of the project at 10 per cent of par value in application fees till March 25. Earlier, the government had announced the scheme 'Nepal's Water, People's Investment' on February 13, 2019.
