DHADING: One person was killed and two others sustained injuries when the truck they were travelling on skidded off the road and plunged into Trishuli river at Jamireghat in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality of Dhading district on Monday. The truck (Ga 1 Ka 4157) fell some 20 metres down the road and into the river along the Prithvi Highway, according to police. Jogimara Police Post identified the deceased as Dan Bahadur Dahal (36) of Kaski district. Dahal succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Trauma Centre in Kathmandu. The two other persons, who were injured, are undergoing treatment at the same hospital, police said. Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway.
