LALITPUR: Bianca Rai of AVM defeated Kelvin Shrestha of Blue Bird 3-0 in the Under-12 girls’ singles match of the SNB Memorial Inter-school Table Tennis Tournament here on Thursday. In other matches, Muna Pandey of CGA beat Furku Moktan of Toran 3-2, Shristika Libi of Proxima defeated Rojeena Tamang of UCPS 3-0, and Pradipa Suwal of Prabhat outplayed Rachana Magar of Jugal 3-0. In U-10 girls’ section, Kyarina Suwal, Narmada Khaitu, Aashma Pahari and Subashree Shrestha recorded wins on the opening day. Likewise, Alen Maharjan, Pranishek Bharati, Ayush Bharati and Ayush Tamrakar registered victories in the U-12 boys’ singles matches. Earlier, President of Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Province-3 Advisor Purna Shankar Shrestha and AVM School Principal Sujeeta Manandhar inaugurated the tournament.
