Police arrested a 30-year-old man and seized 1,454.87kg of marijuana during an early-morning operation in Inaruwa Municipality-10, Sunsari.

Police have arrested a man and seized 1,454.87kg of marijuana in Inaruwa Municipality-10 of Sunsari district.
According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, a police team acting on a tip-off recovered the marijuana at around 3am on Saturday from Jalpapur Chamrahi Tole.
Police said they arrested 30-year-old Ram Bahadur Yadav of Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-5 while he was allegedly loading the marijuana into a Tata pickup truck (Ko 1 Cha 8279).
The seized marijuana, pickup vehicle and the arrested suspect have been brought to the District Police Office, Sunsari, for further investigation, according to Superintendent of Police Pushparaj Malla.
Police said investigations are continuing to determine where the marijuana originated and where it was being transported.
