KATHMANDU: New Star Pole and Binayak School advanced to the final of the SOS Hermann Gmeiner Seti Opi Champion Cup Inter-school Football Tournament here on Friday. New Star defeated Golden Bud School 4-3 in penalty shootout after a goalless draw, while Binayak beat Jagriti School 2-0 in the semi-final matches. Sushil Manandhar and Avash Basnet scored one goal each for Binayak. Sourav Thapa of New Star Pole and Amar Newar of Binayak School won the man-of-the-match awards in their respective matches. The final is slated for Sunday. Top two teams will receive Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
