HETAUDA: A united slaughter-house has resumed its operation with the grant assistance from the provincial government in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City of Makawanpur district. Province 3 Chief Minister Dormani Poudel, on Sunday, inaugurated the Buffalo Quality Food Pvt Ltd that has come into operation with the grant assistance of Rs 6.15 million from the government through Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives. In the programme organised to inaugurate the slaughter-house, CM Poudel said that the provincial government would support the ramshackled industries in the country. He said the government made investment for social welfare rather than profit and loss. He appealed the general public to use meat only from the slaughter-house. He also suggested that the traders should work in harmony with the government. He opined that 'Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepalis' slogan would take form only when all work together. The slaughterhouse, which was established in 1971 and started providing services from 1974, had been operating on and off but discontinued its services since 2016.
