UAE-based Bhojpur NRN society to support landslide victims' families

BHOJPUR: Hatemalo Sewa Samaj, a society of Non-Resident Nepalis from Bhojpur, in the United Arab Emirates, has started collecting money for the disaster relief fund established to support landslide victims' families of Bhojpur district. President of the society Bhim Thapa said the initiative was taken to aid the victims' families since they had been asking for financial aid. At least five persons lost their lives in landslide incidents in the district. Janak BK (14) of Lekharka area in Tyamkemaiyung Rural Municipality-9, Jagat Bahadur Rai (66) of Basikhora area in Ramprasad Rai Rural Municipality-7, residents of Ram Prasad Rai-5, Man Kumari Rai (35) and her sons — Shiva Kumar Rai (17) and Shakti Kumar Rai (15) lost their lives. The society's advisor Gyanendra Bahadur Rai expressed his belief that the campaign launched to help the families of disaster victims would relieve them to some extent.
