Nepal elected to the Bureau of LLDCs: MoFA

KATHMANDU: Nepal has been elected to the Bureau of the Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) for the term of 2020/21 in a meeting in New York on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said in Twitter. According to the diplomatic mission in Kathmandu, the meeting also endorsed Bolivia, Kazakhstan and Zimbabwe in the Bureau of LLDCs. Kazakhstan will chair the group. At present, 32 countries belong to the group of LLDCs of which 16 are located in Africa, 12 in Asia, two in Latin America and two in central and eastern Europe.
