Chinese President's visit will be historical: PM Oli's ADV Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's Foreign Affairs advisor Dr Rajan Bhattarai, said the visit of the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping to Nepal will be historical one as such high level visit is taking place after 23 years. In an interaction on Wednesday in Kathmandu, Dr Bhattarai argued that such visit would further harmonise bilateral relations between people to people level as well. He shared various agreements would be signed during the visit. The Chinese special delegates led by President Xi would hold delegation-level official talks with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli during the state visit. Similarly, former Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, also a leader of main opposition Nepali Congress said that his party would welcome such visit. He stressed developing foreign ties based on mutual benefit. He argued that the government should pay attention to implementing China’s Belt and Road Initiative projects. READ ALSO:
