BIRATNAGAR, MAY 14
Police have arrested two people from a rented house in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-3, Morang, after seizing thousands of strips of banned medicines and a small quantity of cannabis.
Acting on a special tip-off, a joint team from the Koshi Province Police Office, Biratnagar (PIT), and Bargachi Police Post raided the premises at around 1:30 PM on Wednesday. Police recovered 3,990 strips of Tramol-50 and 3,970 strips of Dicyclomine HCL, 7,960 strips in total, along with 8 grams and 75 milligrams of a cannabis-like substance.
The arrested are Karan Pradhan, 27, and Anis Pariyar, 21, both of Ward No. 2, Gangachok, Budhiganga Rural Municipality, Morang.
Both have been brought to the District Police Office, Morang, for further investigation.
