Solududhkunda Municipality in Solukhumbu has emerged as the top-performing local government in Koshi Province, securing 78.50 points in the Fiscal Year 2081/82 (2024/25) assessment conducted by the National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission.

According to the Local Level Performance Evaluation Report, the Solukhumbu-based municipality achieved the highest score in the province across a range of financial and institutional indicators. These included fiscal discipline, timely budget formulation and approval, regular transfer of 40 per cent revenue sharing to the provincial consolidated fund, accurate income and expenditure projections, audit compliance, and effective use of the Subnational Treasury Regulatory Application (SUTRA).

The report also cited improvements in human development outcomes. The municipality recorded high net enrolment rates in Grades 1–8, stronger student retention between Grades 8 and 9, a notable proportion of Grade 10 students securing at least a 1.6 GPA, expanded antenatal care coverage, increased institutional deliveries, and full immunisation for children.
