Karnali can benefit from tourism: VP Pun

Surkhet, October 24 Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun said Karnali region could benefit from tourism development. Vice-president Pun has reached Surkhet district as part of his visit to Jumla district today to take part in the Sinja cultural festival at Sinja of Kanakasundari Rural Municipality. While visiting, Kakre Bihar and Bulbule Lake in Surkhet district, he shared that the region could get immense benefit if tourism sector was promoted with effective plan. He also spoke about developing Rara, Sinja and Kakrebihar to attract tourists in the region. The vice president urged all to visit Sinja valley, the origin of Nepali language and culture. During the inaugural ceremony of the festival scheduled for tomorrow, the government will be requested through Vice-president Pun to carry out archaeological excavations to preserve the actual history of culture and civilisation of ancient Sinja Valley.
