Candidates confident of winning by-election

Siraha, November 26 As the upcoming by-election is just around the corner, candidates from three political parties have claimed their victory in election for the post of ward chairman at Kalyanpur Municipality-12 in Siraha. The election is scheduled for Saturday. The by-election was scheduled for the post of ward chairman after the death of then ward chairman Ram Dev Yadav. He had won the last election from Nepali Congress. As many as eight candidates from different political parties and five independent candidates are contesting for the post of ward chairman in the municipality. Tough competition is expected among Nepali Congress, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal. Nepali Congress candidate Raj Kumar Mukhiya said people would vote for him again as he had taken the responsibility of ward chairman three times earlier. Similarly, Dilip Kumar Yadav from the NCP (NCP) claimed his victory was almost certain. Likewise, Pradip Kumar Mahato of RJP-N said his party would win the post. As many as 3,450 voters will cast the ballot in the ward. Mohammad Ataul Rahaman of Janamat Party, Kishwori Sah of Samajbadhi Party, Mohammad Bashir Rain of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Mohammad Atabul Rain of RPP-United and Raj Lal Sadaya of Nepal Loktrantrik Party are in the fray.
