BAJURA: In the first set of by-elections, Manaraj Budha of NCP(NCP) won by 367 votes in a close fight against Nepali Congress candidate Khagendra Chadara, who managed to secure 347 votes. Voters, yesterday, cast their votes to elect the ward chairperson in Chatara, Triveni Municipality of Bajura district where a total of three candidates were vying for the post. Out of 1037 registered voters, 727(344 males & 383 female) have cast their votes. Last year, Khamma Nepali, ex-ward chairman of Triveni Municipality-1, Bajura, was killed in a jeep accident.
