Fragrance of peace

When I hear to the word ‘Peace’ on people’s mouths, I feel good.
Around the month ago, the situation of our country was bad. But now the situation has changed and we can perhaps look forward to something good.
Nepal is the place where Lord Buddha was born. And Lord Buddha is recognised as the symbol of peace the world over. Nepal was earlier known as one of the peaceful countries of the world.
But this peace that we’ve achieved, do you believe that it is permanent? Is there anyone like Lord Buddha who can preach peace and keep it alive for generations to come? Here lies the great challenge for us.
Some of us believe that going on peace rallies, worshipping God with dahi-akshyata and abir will automatically change our country. But it is not like that. What we can do is pray for God’s eternal blessings with proper sense of our duty, honesty and sincerity. Depending just on God without doing our responsibility will not bring peace. God has created the world for us. We should be able to develop our country and uphold the peace that has been achieved.
