LALITPUR: Sabitra Bhandari scored nine goals alone as Nepal APF Club opened the seventh CoAS International Women’s Football Tournament campaign with 18-0 victory over Sikkim here at the Nepali Army Sports Complex grounds on Monday. The all-time highest scorer for the national team, Bhandari — who is popularly known as Samba in football fraternity — ran riot against the visiting side, who scored 10 goals in the first half and added eight in the second. Former national team skipper Anu Lama scored four goals, while Anita Basnet netted three and Renuka Nagarkoti scored two for the departmental side. In another match, Nepal Police Club registered a 3-0 victory against Province-2. Niru Thapa, Nisha BK and Deepa Neupane scored one each for the NPC.
