SIRAHA:
Demanding amnesty, inmates of the Siraha jail began a relay hunger strike from Monday. They have been demanding that they be pardoned and released as the political system in the country has changed. Ten prisoners would be on the strike for 24 hours and the other ten would replace them.
The inmates sent a memorandum to the PM on Sunday stating that they should be freed as they had lent their support to the people’s movement in April.
