Kathmandu valley registers 311 new coronavirus cases on Monday

KATHMANDU: The three districts of Kathmandu valley reported 311 new cases of the coronavirus infection on Monday. Of the total 742 new cases in the country, Kathmandu district reported 235 infections while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur registered 55 and 21 infections respectively. Of those newly infected in the valley, 130 are females while 181 are males. Read Also: Nepal’s Covid-19 tally hits 254,514 with 742 new cases recorded on Monday Currently, there are 3,448 active infections in Kathmandu, 628 in Lalitpur, and 244 in Bhaktapur. The total number of active cases throughout Nepal, as of today, is 7,976. So far, 454 fatalities from Covid-19 have been reported in Kathmandu, 97 in Bhaktapur, and 142 in Lalitpur. The nationwide death-toll has advanced to 1,795. Read Also: Seven more Covid-related fatalities recorded on Monday; tally shifts to 1,795 Meanwhile, a total of 91,007 people have recovered from the infection in Kathmandu while 14,079 have recovered in Lalitpur and 8,323 in Bhaktapur. Kathmandu and Lalitpur are the two districts in the country to have over 500 active cases. Likewise, Manang and Mugu have zero live infections at present.
