KATHMANDU: President of the main opposition Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba said that his party would abide by the court's decision regarding the dismantling of House of Representatives (HoR). Addressing a demonstration held in Kathmandu by NC cadres, on Saturday, NC President Deuba asserted that the decision taken by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to dissolve the Lower House was unconstitutional and against the nation's democratic values. He, however, stated that the matter is currently being mulled over in court and as such no one should rally or protest to interfere with the legal proceedings. Deuba added, 'NC will participate in mid-term elections if the court's ruling is in favour of Prime Minister's decision.' He further claimed that if the court decides to hold the elections, not just Nepali Congress, but all party leaders including those belonging to the other faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) will participate.' NC President went on to say that if the court rules in PM Oli's favour and then if he is unable to hold the elections, the Prime Minister will have to witness challenging times ahead. However, Deuba expressed that the elections might eventually take place. Featured Image -  File Read Also: Prime Minister not a revolutionist but rather a run-away: Thapa
