Proprietor of Annapurna Sugar Mill out of contact

SARLAHI: Proprietor of Annapurna Sugar Mill Rakesh Agrawal has been out of contact for some days, said the District Administration Office, Sarlahi. According to Chief District Officer, Surendra Poudel, 'The blocked bank account of Agrawal has around Rs 17.3 million meant to clear the outstanding dues in payment to sugarcane farmers. However, the payment has yet to take place as he has gone out of contact.' The mill is yet to clear the due of Rs 170 million to the sugarcane farmers, said the mill. So far, the mill has paid Rs 111 million to the sugarcane farmers, said Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh Rathaur.
