Kathmandu, July 8:

Seeta Devi Adhikary, a resident of Kitchanas VDC-9 Saldanda of Syangja district is awaiting a Good Samaritan to support her undergo kidney transplantation.

Doctors’ have said Adhikary’s both kidneys have almost ceased to function and that they need to be transplanted.

According to nephrologist consultant Dr Rishi Kumar Kafle, Adhikary suffers from end stage renal failure.

“She either needs to conduct dialysis twice to thrice a week throughout her life or should undergo kidney transplant. The former would cost her Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 per month and transplantation would cost IRs 3-5 lakhs,” Dr Kafle said in his recommendation letter.
