Rupandehi, July 24:

Senior UML leader, Jhalanath Khanal, today said an all-party dialogue was going on to build an environment of trust between the State and the Maoists.

Speaking at a press meet organised by CPN-UML Lumbini Zonal publicity department in Butwal today, Khanal said, “The government will sign agreements on ceasefire, human rights and peace with the Maoists after an environment of trust is created.”

He said the interim government would announce date and other programmes for an election to a constituent assembly. He also assured that a situation compelling the Maoists to return to war due to differences in political matters wouldn’t arise.

Khanal clarified that there wasn’t any ‘secret’ agreement between the seven party alliance and the Maoists against monarchy.
