TEHRAN: Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar-Zanghaneh again called on oil-producing countries on Tuesday to impose an oil embargo against Israel and countries supporting it. 'An embargo against Israel and those countries that are supporting it would be a symbolic move to express support for the Palestinians', Zangeneh said in a statement to the official IRNA news agency. He urged members and non-members of the OPEC oil production cartel, and particularly Arab and Islamic states, to join the boycott, adding that Islamic countries must move in a harmonious and coordinated manner' against Israel, IRNA said.
