The Kantipur Television Network Pvt Limited has informed that it will commence the transmission within 10 months.

The Network, obtaining the terrestrial transmission licence recently by the government, aims to broadcast 24 hours a day with 6 to 10 hours test transmission initially.

Entertainment, news and current affairs, and educational programmes will be the major chunk of the broadcast, company officials informed at a press conference organised here on Sunday.

With an authorised capital of Rs 500 million, the company says it will provide employment to over 350 people. The company says that it aims to cover 45 per cent area of the country and 70 per cent of the total population within five years.
