BadiMalika in Bajura is attracting more visitors well ahead of this year's Janai Purnima festival, with locals reporting that more than 100 people are reaching the destination on many days.

The high-altitude site, at around 4,200 metres, offers views of the Api and Saipal ranges, vast pastures and wildlife, while increased publicity has helped draw more domestic tourists. Locals, however, are calling for better trails, drinking water, toilets, accommodation, safety and waste management as visitor numbers grow.
