The Coalition for International Criminal Court (CICC) delegates met senior government officials, leaders of political parties, parliamentarians, judges, National Human Rights Commission officials and the citizens.

The CICC, currently working around the globe, is facilitating the formation of International Criminal Court (ICC). The ICC will start functioning after the member countries reach 66; it was revealed in the preparatory meeting held in New York from April 12-19.

UN secretary general Kofi Annan, speaking on the concluding day, had said this would open newer avenues in combating killings, lawlessness and terrorism.

The court will function as the centre to report war crimes, public killings and all anti-human rights cases, where the national courts fail to provide justice. The court shall take up decisions in accordance to the international laws. As pledged by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba Nepal has also vowed to stick to the international norms.
