Kathmandu, October 4:

National Organisation for the Liberation of Dalits (NOLD)-Nepal has condemned the attack on Dalits by “Hindu extremists” at Adichaur VDC-3 of Achham district on October 1.

In a press release, the NOLD said “Hindu extremists” of the area thrashed Dalits and injured them. The organisation has demanded that the government take action against the culprits. It has asked the government not to be a mere spectator, as such incidents are increasing in different parts of the country. “The inability of the government to take action against those who are violating the declaration of the House of Representatives is a matter of serious concern,” said Raj Kumar Hingmang, secretary of the NOLD.

The organisation has appealed to all the Dalit organisations to fight against such activities.
