The family of businessman Surya Kiran Bothara of Sunsari’s Ramnagar Bhutaha, who was abducted on Sunday, said that his abductors have demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh for his release. He was abducted while he was driving his motorcycle from Sunsari’s Narkatiya on Sunday.

Bothara’s brother Chetan said the abductors asked them to pay Rs 5 lakh for his brother’s release. SP at the Sunsari DPO, Yadav Raj Khanal, claimed that they have received information that the Tarai Janatantrik Morcha is involved in his abduction.
