Team meets Nembang
Kathmandu: A Chinese delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Chinese National People’s Congress, Standing Committee, Li Tieying, paid a courtesy call on Speaker of the House of Representatives, Subas Nembang, at the parliament building at Singhadurbar on Monday. Consultation was held on different aspects of Nepal-China relations. Both the leaders stressed the need to expand friendly relations and make area of economic cooperation wider. — RSS
TU bandh called off
KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan University Employee’s Association has called off its protest programme. The association went on strike pressing for the fulfilment of a 11-point demand, including early appointment of office-bearers and resumption of activities of the university. General Secretary of the Association Bhoj Kumar Basnet said they called off the protest after they received a written commitment from PM Girila Prasad Koirala. — RSS
Oath administered
KATHMANDU: Chief Election Commissioner Bhoj Raj Pokharel administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly-appointed commissioners Dolakh Bahadur Gurung and Ayodhi Prasad Yadav on Sunday in the presence of Speaker of the House, Subas Nembang. The commissioners assumed office from Sunday. — RSS

KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering, Examination Controller Division, has published the results of the Bachelor level, Structural Environmental Water Resource Renewable Energy Power System, and Geo-Technical Engineering first year second part regular examinations. — RSS
