Kathmandu, January 29:

Nepal Credit and Commerce (NCC) Bank has announced the winners of ‘Mahila Surakshya Bachat Khata (MSBK)’ scheme for the second time.

The lucky draw held at NCC Bank’s office today has chosen three winners — Pratima Thapa(Bhattarai) of Chabahil, Tulasa Magar from Pepsi Cola, and Laxmi Shrestha of Lagankhel; first, second and third respectively.

Gouri Lall Shrestha, acting managing director of the bank gave away the first prize Toshiba automatic washing machine, second prize Haier microwave oven and third prize Samsung vacuum cleaner to the respective winners, states a press release issued here today by the bank.

The bank also distributed 17 consolation prizes to each lucky winner from each branch of NCC Bank.

Besides the monthly prizes, the bank also provides medical insurance facilities up to Rs 10,000 and accidental death insurance worth Rs 500,000 to the account holder under the scheme.

Recently increasing competition has been focring commercial banks to introduce lucrative schemes to attract smaller customers. The trend has grown over the last few years as big customers have proved to be difficult to depend upon, resulting in mounting non-performing assets in banks.
