Bhairahawa, March 6 :
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Pradip Gyawali today said that the Rayamajhi report amounts to “freeing the king” rather than taking action against him.
Speaking to journalists at Gautam Buddha Airport in Bhairahawa, Gyawali said the Rayamajhi report would be made public within the next three days.
Pointing to the report, Gyawali said: “The report states ‘the king has to express sorrow over the loss of life and property during the Jana Andolan, express condolence over those killed in the Andolan and has to think over the act of opening way to democracy by reinstating the parliament’. What is the implied meaning of this statement?”
Expressing doubt over any action against the king, he stressed the need for taking action against major figures found guilty violation of human rights during the April uprising.
