Love, the widow of the late Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain, was in Los Angeles recently for the Oscar ceremonies. She walked into the Larry Gagosian gallery and bought a work by British artist Damien Hirst. But she bought the cheapest piece, which cost her $500,000.
