Bhairahawa, June 17:
The land survey work at Number Three Goshwara Survey Office of Rupandehi and Nawalparasi has come to a halt once again due to continuous obstruction by the Maoists. The rebels have looted telescopes and site maps from the survey office. Survey executive, Ramesh Gyanwali, said that they have postponed the work for an indefinite period. The Maoists looted five telescopes from Paroha VDC last month and set ablaze seven telescopes, the field book and maps from Sauraha Farsatikar. 'Official work cannot be carried out as survey equipment and important documents have been torched by the Maoists,' Gyanwali said. 'We have stopped the work until suitable environment is created.'
