DHL bags award

KATHMANDU: DHL, the world’s leading express and logistics company, has won Asia Platinum Award for the third consecutive year in the airfreight/courier service category at the ninth annual ‘Trusted Brand Awards 2007’ organised by Reader’s Digest. DHL is the first and only company to be awarded the Platinum Award for the Asia region for three consecutive years, states a press release. “DHL is delighted to be voted as Asia’s most trusted brand,” said Scott Price, CEO, DHL Express Asia Pacific. — HNS

NCCCI, CCPIT tie up

KATHMANDU: Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCCI) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Guangzhou sub-council have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the promotion of bilateral trade, investment and tourism. Jyoti Kumar Begani, vice-president of NCCCI and Zeng Kaizhang, vice-president of CCPIT, Guangzhou signed MoU on behalf of their respective organisations. — HNS
