Khalanga (Pyuthan), May 14:

Janamorcha Nepal central vice chairman Lilamani Pokhrel said today no action has been initiated against the king so far even though a unanimous decision to that effect was taken in parliament on February 21.

Speaking at a press meet here, he said: “The Maoists, too, had said action would be taken against the king once they joined the government, but they, too, have done nothing.” He said some of the parties were working under the influence of the US and India.

Saying that the country has not been able to go for a republic due to the CPN-UML and the NC, Pokhrel added that these two parties were conspiring to save the monarchy. He denounced activities of YCL cadres.

Terming the agitation in the Tarai genuine, Pokhrel said the Tarai agitation should not land in wrong hands.
