Charikot, May 18:
Swedish ambassador to Nepal, Johan Nardenfeld, today stressed on the need for holding the constituent assembly election on time.
As the process of establishment of peace is going ahead, the constituent assembly (CA) poll ought to be held on time, he said while addressing a press conference organised by the Office of the High Commission for Human Rights-Nepal (OHCHR) here, at the concluding ceremony of a seminar on Human Rights in the Peace Process.
Saying that Sweden has been helping Nepal in the establishment of peace, Nardenfeld said that Sweden would continue to help Nepal in development activities after the establishment of peace.
OHCHR (Nepal) officer Yohan Olhagen said that they would help in the ‘free and independent CA polls.’ A 13-point Dolakha declaration was also issued in the seminar.
