Kathmandu, September 7:

A child was killed and four injured today at Chapagaon-4 of Lalitpur after a house collapsed due to incessant rainfall in the Valley for the past three days.

Five-year-old Pratip Maharjan was killed, while Prakash Maharjan, Sushma Maharjan, Sumitra Maharjan and Reshma Maharjan were injured in the house collapse, police said.

Meanwhile, RSS reports from Madhyapur Thimi that four persons were hurt and seven houses were damaged at different VDCs of Bhaktapur yesterday due to incessant rainfall.

House of Arjun Prasad Pokharel in Chhaling VDC-2 and house of Shyam Prasad Gelal of Jhaukhel VDC were damaged, police said.

Two other houses were damaged and two persons were hurt at Changunarayan VDC. The Bhaktapur DDC said Shailendra Sarki and Sukram Sarki were hurt when a house was damaged at Mijartole.
