Speaker Subas Chandra Nembang today said that there is no disagreement on the issue of constituent assembly election among political parties and civil society.

Inaugurating the national gathering of Limbu Students’ Forum in Damak today, he said that the poll is the only means to institutionalise the achievements of the Jana Andolan II. “There is no disagreement among the political parties and civil society regarding holding the polls,” he said.

He said, “The Maoists have not said they won’t take part in the constituent assembly election.” He urged all ethnic organisations, including the Sanghiya Limbuwan Rajyaparisad (SLR), to solve the problems by holding talks with the government. “It is time to go for the polls now.”
