The University of Toronto was established in 1827 and is the leading research intensive university in Canada. It has around 70,000 students, 3,000 faculty and over 300 undergraduate programm-es. The university includes three campuses — St George Campus has around 26,000 full-time undergraduate students, over 12,000 graduate students and 7,000 students in professional programmes; University of Toronto Mississauga offers undergraduate and graduate programmes in arts, science, business, education and medicine; and University of Tor-onto Scarborough provides undergraduate and graduate studies and the University’s only co-op educati-onal programmes. Students have options in humanities, social sciences, management, and over 80 co-op options in arts, sciences and business.

Campus life

There’s life outside the classroom and the lab. An abundance of sports, theatre, music, academic conferences and student groups contribute to a vibrant campus life.

Scholarships

The University of Toronto, its colleges and faculties award approximately 1,500 admission scholarships and approximately 2,500 in-course scholarships each year.

Work opportunities

Work opportunities are available to international students. Students registered in co-op programs at U of T Scarborough or Professional Experience Year programmes have the opportunity for paid work placement as part of their academic programme.

The University of Toronto offers a wide variety of housing and housing services ranging from campus residences, including their own Graduate House, to off-campus shared and private accommodation.
