New Delhi, December 4:
The Public Service Commission (PSC) is preparing to publish advertisement for application for civil service jobs in which 45 per cent seats will be reserved for women, janajatis, Madhesis, disabled people and people from remote districts.
PSC member Dr Bhim Dev Bhatta, who is now on a trip to India, told this to this daily today.
“Last Saturday, the PSC dispatched a letter to the government seeking its definition of janajati and remote districts and other related matters and the advertisement for the vacancy for the reserved quota will be published after we receive the government’s version on the issue,” Dr Bhatta said.
“Of the reserved quota, 33 per cent will go for women,” he said.
“Meanwhile, the Indian government has shown its interest to help Nepal implement the quota reservation policy. Joint secretary in charge of Nepal-Bhutan desk under the Indian External Affairs Ministry, Priti Sharan, told this to visiting PSC officials, including chairman Tirtha Man Shakya,” Dr Bhatta said.
Dr Bhatta also said that the Public Service Commission is planning to send Nepali officers for training to the Indian Institute of Public Administration for training on the issue of implementing reservation policy.
